Marta Mosca
Marta Mosca is Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Pisa and Head of the Rheumatology Unit at the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Pisana, Italy. She is also Head of the Fellowship Training Program in Rheumatology of the University of Pisa and member of the faculty of the Ph.D. Program in Genetics, Oncology and Clinical Medicine of the Consortium among the Universities of Pisa, Florence and Siena. Professor Mosca received her medical degree, qualification in Rheumatology and Ph.D. from the University of Pisa. Her clinical activity covers systemic lupus erythematosus as well as other rare and complex connective tissue diseases and rheumatic diseases. She is also responsible of the Lupus clinic and, since 2000, of the pregnancy clinic. Since December 2016 she is the Coordinator of the European Reference Network on “Rare and Hereditary Connective and Musculoskeletal Diseases” (RECONNET) promoted by the European Commission. She is also the coordinator of the European Commission Program INTEGRATE,which aims at integrating the physician and the patients point of view in the management of systemic lupus erythematosus. She was a member of the EULAR-ACR steering committee for the development of Classification Criteria for SLE. Professor Mosca is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of LUPUS EUROPE, the European Association of SLE patients. She has authored over 200 ISI publications on SLE and other connective tissue diseases.
