Antonella Cecchettini
Antonella Cecchettini is Researcher in the Dept. of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the University of Pisa. She graduated in Biology in 1989 at the University of Pisa and obtained a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology in 1993 at the University of Pisa. Since 2005 she is Research Assistant at Institute of Clinical Physiology – CNR in Pisa. Since 1997 she is a teacher of Applied Biology, Nursing Degree Program at the University of Pisa. Her main research sectors are: a) Molecular mechanisms in cell activation and phenotypic modulation; b) Proteomics analysis of secreted proteins in cardiovascular disease and experimental models of lung fibrosis; c) Oligonucleotide-based drug delivery into cells to inhibit a pathological phenotype activation; d) Salivary proteomics to understand systemic pathologies and to gain new insights in cancer therapy.
